Seeking Your Voice: Poetry & Beginning Memoir

This workshop offers both passion for the observation and writing of poetry and memoir, as well as support for each student’s journey, in each new stanza, or paragraph. We seek new ways to open up the voice, bring breath and space to your writing art. We encourage risk-taking and careful listening. We’ll also explore the works of contemporary authors and suggest exercises/assignments for inspiration and challenge.

Join us for a new production from Michel Hausmann at Miami New Drama (yes, the same folks who brought you "The Golem of Havana,"  the highest grossing show in the history of the Colony Theater): A Special Day.  Inspired by Ettore Scola's 1977 Oscar-winning film Una Giornata Particolare, two actors explore the life-changing encounter between an overworked housewife and a mysterious bachelor, set against the backdrop of rising fascism on the day of Hitlers 1938 visit to Mussolini's Italy.
